Can I Fill Your Cup?

It is exciting when an idea is simplified, streamlined and perfected.  I have made two more beeswax cups.  I filled them today with honey.  The translucent qualities of the beeswax cups helps the honey show through, not just in shadow but in color as well!

Care for A Cup?

I have created two beeswax cups.

They remind me of little tulips.  I started off by coating a muffin tin with vegetable cooking spray.  I then swirled the beeswax around the jumbo muffin tin.  I let some of the wax cool at the bottom, as the bottom of the cup needs to be thicker in order to hold the honey.  I had to swirl the beeswax around more than I had previously thought.  As long as I had a perfect balance of how much vegetable cooking spray I sprayed in the tin, the little tulips came out perfectly!  I plan to add the honey before a gallery opening on Wednesday night.  (I will do a trial run of this though, to ensure minimal leakage.)
