Dada Speech

Dada objects.  Dada removes itself from every synthetic spinoff, every byproduct, for profit, knee-less manufactured commodity of distaste and disgust.  Dada objects, despises, turns its thumbs down upon, and rejects, these classless brands, these for profit art artifacts, once breathing life until they were placed in the academy and to be made “just so.” Dada objects.  Dada objects every social hierarchy.  Dada wishes to upset, alter, and destabilize, nay, abolish hierarchical thinking.  Dada wishes to upset the bourgeoisie, the proletariat, and now, the technocratic industrialists.  They are not dada.  Dada.  Dada is the freedom of the disruption of the line that separates art from life.  The disruption in the Venn diagram that keeps these two oppositions apart, in order to make life and art inclusive, enmeshed and whole again.  For there is no life without art and no art without life, no matter how often these technocratic industrialists say this is so.  Dada is the shattering of logic in a world that is as-of-war quite illogical.  Dada.  Dada is the opposite of the illogicality that is the justification of doing something simply because we can.  Dada is the opposite of this we are stronger, better, can and will take anything and everything you have mentality we now have adjusted to in our everyday life.  Dada is the re-humanization.  Dada.  Dada is life.  Dada.  Dada is all the contradictions.  Dada.  Dada is the noise gum makes when chewed and the bleep bleep of the text tone.  Dada is the illogical.  Dada.  Dada.  Dada.  Dada; as it is.  A word of nonsensicality, Dada; a word of freedom, that will take these tense colors that are painted onto every nation and its citizens in a mob mentality called patriotism, and bring these nations to the table to enjoy a heaping helping of community, followed by freedom to share expression openly and without restraint.  Dada will then provide a choice and chance and open-ended opportunity with which to enjoy the pataphysical reality.  Dada will inoculate its dinner guests with illogicality; for Dada knows that when you oppress the illogical it rampages forth to make war, the killing and justification of the innocent, logical.  Dada will interlace these so called opposing nations in order to find a common ground in the illogicality of war in order to bring about one thing, once again to the table: LIFE.

Shelter

Throughout my life I have dreamt of an archetypal home.  That is not to say mine was not incredibly loving, as it was.  I was merely thinking my situation was not "normal." (As I was adopted.)  

I now work through the ideas of the honeycomb, and bees.  

The busiest of creatures with the most physically impossible power; to fly.

I love these creatures and what they do.  thus I have made a shelter and continue to make this shelter with the goal of 10 by 10 by 10 feet at least.  

I have started a home economics project of sorts as each piece is meticulously made.  Each hexagon is cut out, layered in beeswax, and then hand-sewn together. 

Truly a labor of love.

A shelter to be curved over a person.  Curving and forming to suit their individual needs.

I hope this labor of love will turn out 10 by 10 by 10 feet.  But until then I am having fun bee-ing myself; a busy, busy bee.

Honeycombs

For a few months, due to a medical condition, the power to make art was taken away from me.  It was in that time that I missed home the greatest.  

However, it was not my home that I missed, but rather a metaphorical home; a place of safety, and love, and of happiness, and order.  

While making these new pieces I keep in mind the same feeling of the archetypal nostalgic home that I have longed for. 

This is what has become of these feelings and thoughts.
